iDeal Auto Imports is a growing independent used car dealership located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, specializing in high-quality import and European vehicles.
We are currently hiring an experienced Automotive Mechanic / Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair our pre-sale vehicle inventory.
Position Overview
As an Automotive Mechanic at iDeal Auto Imports, you will be responsible for diagnosing and completing repairs on vehicles before they are listed for sale. Repairs range from brakes and suspension to electrical diagnostics and engine work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical inspections and diagnose vehicle issues
- Complete repairs and maintenance on used cars and light SUVs
- Service areas include:
- Brake repairs and replacements
- Suspension and steering repairs
- Electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Engine repairs and drivability concerns
- Test drive vehicles before and after repairs
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of automotive technician experience
- European vehicle repair experience strongly preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically able to work in a shop environment
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must pass a background check
Schedule & Hours
- Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 40–60 hours per week
Compensation
$30–$40 per hour
